Team around the School, Child and Community (TASCC)
TASCC teams were fully operational across Essex as of 10 September 2007.  Each TASCC team has between 8 and 12 Essex County Council staff brought together on a multidisciplinary which will provide a more effective and efficient use of staff resources through increased co-ordination and reduced duplication. It is anticipated that early intervention and preventative work will reduce the number of children and young people needing acute and complex services. Staff within the teams will include: TASCC Manager, Social Worker, Educational Welfare Officer, Home/school liaison worker, Behaviour Support Teacher, Youth Worker, Educational Psychologist, Area SENCO and an administrator.  There are three TASCC teams across Castle Point.  The TASCC team for Canvey Island , managed by Alison Duguid, is based in the Canvey Children's Community Centre in Furtherwick Park School .  The TASCC teams will build on the success of the MAC meetings and continue to use them as a useful multi-disciplinary support.  For more information on TASCC services please click on the link below.
